While at the mall, Phoenix is casually handed a flier: “Sign up to stop creature testing today! Make $$$ while helping the helpless critters!” Who wouldn’t want to help out those poor creatures, right? Friends, not test subjects! When Phoenix gets home, she calls up the number on the flier. “Hola,” the voice on the other end of the phone says. Phoenix is pleased they have someone to speak Spanish since she knows very little English! The helpful voice on the other end helps her set up an appointment for later that day. Phoenix arrives at the testing facility and begins filling out and signing the stack of forms. What she doesn’t know is that by not thoroughly reading the papers she was handed, she gives up all of her consent to become a test subject. She agrees to perform any examinations and tests the facility, as well as the doctor, deem necessary. She has no idea what she just signed up for, but as long as it helps the creatures and she gets to make a few bucks, who cares!
